Who can take part in Youthreach programmes?
The Youthreach programme is for young people aged 16-20 years who have left school early.
When is the Youthreach Intake?
Enrolment is usually the end of August / start of September. However students can apply at any time of year.
What will a Youthreach course cost?
There are no costs for participating in a Youthreach programme.
Will I get an allowance if I attend Youthreach?
Yes, If between 16 or 17 you will receive an allowance of €40 per week, if over 18 you will receive an allowance of €193. The allowance is done on your attendance and participation in Youthreach.
If you are over 16 years of age or more you will receive a weekly training allowance, a meal allowance and a travel allowance if applicable while attending the Youthreach Programme.
How long is the course?
Youthreach is a two year full-time course.
How long is the day?
The Centre opens at 8 am and students start at 8.45am. There is a breakfast available in the morning and students start class at 9.10 am . Classes are 40mins long and 50mins in the afternoon. Students get two breaks, for tea /coffee and a lunch break. Students finish up at 3.40pm Monday to Thursday and 1.20pm on Friday.

Class sizes are small, there is no uniform, teachers are more approachable and students learn at the their own pace in a relaxed environment.
